PROJECTS
The Isaiah Project is an initiative which seeks to break the cycle of poverty by funding tuition, nutritional needs, and shelter for underprivileged, abandoned, homeless, or orphaned children and young adults. Many children who participate in the program start school for the first time ever between the ages of 11-17. We seek to fund tuition from grade 1 through college.
The project currently operates in the Philippines with several participants. As more resources become available, additional students will be given the opportunity for an education.
Most students enrolled in the program started school for the first time ever between the ages of 11-16. This means they began kindergarten as teenagers and preeteens. Extreme poverty and difficult family situations have led most of them to live on the streets alone for most of their lives. The Isaiah Project has empowered them to be on track for college! In just a few years, they have flourished and grown in marvelous ways. We are so proud of their hard work!
Each of our students' has their own story and struggle and we honor their roots. Whenever possible, Isaiah International wants to see families reunited (with regard to safety concerns). This means that we provide food and housing not only for our students, but for their families as well. The students have often expressed how difficult it can be to focus on school knowing that their parents or siblings are struggling. Poverty can take a toll on a family and cause bonds to become strained. Having basic needs met enables families to come together once more and feel the security of shelter and food.
